Something's Missing...
Left: Flowers made out of carrot, red bell pepper, white cheese, and green beans. There are stir-fried vegetables under the rice. Right: Apple stars on top of mineola tangelo sections. Two small slices of lemon cake with mint garnish.
I feel like there is something missing in the lower right corner -- I really wish I had added small carrot flowers to the mint! I didn't think of it until later! *pout* Here's how the Lock & Lock container looks when it's closed up:

Where did you get that container? With the little containers inside it? I'm trying to find a bigger box. Thanks!
This is a Lock & Lock container. They come in all sizes, from small to very big. Some have divider containers and some don't -- I always look for the kind with dividers. I purchased some from Target and some from H-Mart.
I have two of that particular size of Lock & Lock. They are hands-down my favorites and my only regret is that I didn't buy another one so I can pack one for ME along with ones for husband and son!
The Lock & Locks are absolutely great.

Hi Mysunshine -- If you dip the apple slices in some orange juice, they will stay fresh. My method is to fill a small bowl or cup with orange juice, drop the apple slices in, after a minute take them out and let them drain very briefly on a paper towel or kitchen towel. Then I pack the apples in the bento, and drink the leftover orange juice! I learned this trick from reading other bento blogs.
Sara, I agree that Lock & Locks are absolutely great!!
oo dear, thanks for that wonderfull tips ^_^
